Well, I did say I was here and not here, and it’s a good thing :D

I got sidetracked by Sahara, a Dirk Pitt film in which ridiculous yet entertaining crack like this happens.  I read a lot of the books years ago (my Dad’s a huge fan) but I really mean years ago.  I only put the TV on to see something else, but then someone said something to a guy called Giordino, and I thought, what are the odds of it being some OTHER guy with the same name who’s in the process of a daring marine rescue?

And then I got reeled in along with the underwater crane.  The ending was a bit sucky - they glossed over a LOT just to show Dirk on the beach with the doctor - but the rest was pretty epic and I don’t know when I last laughed so much.  Definitely my kind of action film - almost no blood, almost no believable peril, just ridiculous stunts and continual snarky remarks ;)
